I believe change is an invitation to grow, and that our leadership is revealed in how we show up for ourselves and one another in the messiness of change and transition. To me, leadership is the relational practice of showing up with presence, awareness and intention every day. It’s through this everyday practice of how we relate and build trust that shapes teams, culture, and the systems around us.
Experience and Skills
Melanie is a leadership coach, international HR executive, and transition guide with over 20 years of experience across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. She spent more than a decade at Beiersdorf, holding senior HR roles in South Africa, Singapore, Dubai, and Germany, where she led talent, leadership development, organisational development, and large-scale cultural transformation across emerging and mature markets.
She brings lived insight into executive leadership, complex stakeholder environments, and the realities of navigating transition at scale, including role elevation, cultural integration, and organisational change. Melanie has worked primarily in FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing and retail, and coached leaders across FMCG, e-commerce, tech, pharma, and humanitarian sectors, supporting them to lead with clarity, presence, and impact.
Passionate about developing future leaders, she also mentors youth through SAYes Mentoring.
